What is EITC (Education Improvement Tax Credits)?
EITC is a way for businesses to get credit for contributing to the education of Pennsylvania students. Eligible businesses receive tax credits for contributing to a Scholarship Organization, an Educational Improvement Organization, and/or a Pre-Kindergarten Scholarship Organization. Businesses participating in the Pennsylvania State EITC program receive tax credits for charitable contributions they make to the Riverview Educational Foundation for innovative STREAM programs in the Riverview School District. EITC is Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program. Eligible companies are businesses that are authorized to do business in Pennsylvania and are subject to one or more of the following taxes: personal income tax, capital stock/foreign franchise tax, corporate net income tax, bank shares tax, title insurance & trust company shares tax, insurance premium tax (excluding surplus lines, unauthorized, domestic/foreign marine), mutual thrift tax, malt beverage tax, retaliatory fees under section 212 of the Insurance Company Law of 1921.
