Riverview Educational Foundation's Commitments to the Riverview School District

"No one is useless in this world who lightens the burdens of another."

Charles Dickens

Commitment to: Service

In between sports, music, classes, and homework Riverview students from kindergarten through high school, at Verner, Tenth Street, and Riverview Junior and Senior High School, students serve their community in a variety of ways. One hundred percent of students in grades 9-12 gave service to the community in some way.

Below are a few of the ways that students were recognized and/or gave service:

  • Riverview High School Key Club Students in Action (SIA) receive Banner Recognition:
    • Distinguished Club
    • Distinguished President
    • Distinguished Vice President
    • Distinguished Secretary
    • 3rd Place Major Emphasis Ward
    • Honorable Mention Non-Digital Membership Poster
  • Canned Goods Drive
  • Grandparents Day
  • Coat Drive
  • Over $60,000 dollars raised in the district for Relay for Life in recent years
  • And many, many more…

Riverview students understand the value of giving back to the community that they care about and live in. Please support them in their efforts by helping to provide the most innovative education available.

Public education is one of the greatest tools of democracy and Riverview embodies the best of it. But the tiny district also comes up against obstacles that threaten a rich educational experience. Let’s ensure that the faculty has the means and the desire to keep going the extra distance for students. Let’s promise students and their families that Riverview can continue to deliver a first class education that so many have benefitted from in the past. With 33% percent of students receiving free/reduced lunch (25% at Tenth Street and 66% at Verner) the district must continue to offer an educational experience that goes far beyond the typical. Riverview is closing the gap between poverty and achievement.

Your contribution will make a difference by ensuring there are only the best instruction, material and facilities to offer every student in Riverview School District. Your support will change a child’s life, change the future and change the world. You can ensure that students can THINK BIG AND LOOK BEYOND as they grow and develop into productive, creative, innovative citizens.
